Tulane Golf Team Turns in 17th Place Finish at Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Classic The Tulane women's golf team combined for a 16-over par 304 today and posted a 17th place finish during final round action of the 2008 Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Classic at the Fox Den Country Club in Knoxville, Tenn. After shooting an opening round 304 on Friday for a 15th place showing, the Green Wave stumbled during Saturday's second round with a 314, and was not able to recover today, despite matching its best total of the Classic. Tulane Women's Golf Team Slips to 17th after Two Rounds at Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championships The Tulane Green Wave women's golf team combined for a 26-over par 314 on the second day of the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championships and slipped from 15th to 17th place at the Fox Den Country Club in Knoxville, Tenn. Tulane Golfers in 15th Place after Day One of Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championships Freshman Daniela Holmqvist fired a one-under par 71 and sits in a tie for ninth place, while the Green Wave turned in a 16-over par 304 as a team and is in 15th place entering Saturday's second round of the 2008 Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championships at Fox Den Country Club in Knoxville, Tenn.
