In 13 years under coach Lisa Stockton -- the 2007 Conference USA Coach of the Year, Tulane has made nine NCAA Tournament appearances, one WNIT appearance, earned four Conference USA Tournament championships, and three regular season Conference USA Championships.

"Tulane is a place where players can develop for four years into senior leaders. One of our greatest assets is the academic standards of the university. The players who come here want to be champions, make the NCAA tournament and be successful in the real world. Our players are always ready to step up to the challenges on the court and carry that desire to succeed into their careers beyond Tulane and beyond basketball.

After basketball - and not just college, as there's a number of Tulane graduates still playing in the WNBA or in Europe, or both - our players will be able to answer the challenges in life because they could face the challenges that our program and our university gave them.

At Tulane, we've had guards be All-Americans and we've had post-players be all-Americans. So in the years I've been here, I've learned that you adjust your style to what you have. We like to run, we like to get up and down the floor and have an up-tempo game. We use multiple defenses and mix it up to find the best match-ups. Our players are smart enough to run a complex system.

I'm proud of the tradition established by Tulane women's basketball. Not only has this program won four Conference USA Championships, made nine NCAA appearances, produced 15 All-America honors, and four WNBA players, but every player who's completed their eligibility while I've coached here has earned a degree from Tulane University.

We want the Tulane women's basketball experience to include Conference USA championships, NCAA Tournament runs, and individual honors. And our ultimate goal is to help young women become champions in life."
