Fall 2004: Posted a scoring average of 73.3 this fall while competing in all five tournaments for the Green Wave. Only member of the Tulane team who had all 15 rounds count toward the team score. Recorded a trio of Top 25 finishes and was in the Top 40 in four of five events. Tied for seventh place at the Memphis Intercollegiate (72-71-75) to record his top finish of the fall. Shot his season-low round of 69 three times during the fall and was under par seven times. One of the 69s came in the second round of the Turtle Bay Intercollegiate in Kahuku, Hawaii, where he carded Tulane's best single round and overall score with a four-over par 220 (74-69-77) to tie for 22nd. Tied his career-low 54-hole total at the University Club Intercollegiate with a five-under 211 (69-71-71) to tie for 17th, second-best on the team. On the Tulane Scholar-Athlete list for the fall with a GPA above 3.0.

Summer 2004: Qualified for the 2004 United States Amateur Championships at Winged Foot Golf Club in New York after placing second at his sectional qualifying tournament at the Willow Creek Golf Club in Knoxville, Tennessee. Shot eight-under 136 (69-67) in the qualifier with just one bogey in two rounds. At the Amateur, rebounded from an opening round 82 to shoot four-over 74 in the second round to finish at 16-over 156.

2003-04: On the season, ranked third on the Green Wave team in scoring average with a 74.8 mark while playing in all 11 tournaments, including the NOKIA Sugar Bowl Tulane Invitational as an individual. Scored a trio of top 10 finishes on the year, at the Raising Cane Classic and the First Reliance Intercollegiate in the fall and at the Moe O'Brien Memorial Intercollegiate in the spring. Led Tulane in three events, including a career-best second at the First Reliance Intercollegiate where he opened with a 69-70 and finished at two-under 214. Started the season with a ninth-place finish at the Raising Cane Classic where he had a career-low 54-hole total of two-under 211 (68-71-72). Had seven rounds of par or better during the year, five in the fall, when he tallied a 73.3 average over 15 rounds. Shot 75 or lower 21 times on the year. Ninety percent of his scores counted toward the team tally. One of Tulane's top three golfers in eight events on the season, including all five fall tourneys. Also was the Wave's top finisher at the Country Club of Louisiana Intercollegiate after shooting 223 (74-75-75). Playing at home in Knoxville, shot four-over 220 (76-70-74) at the Coca-Cola Tournament of Champions and tied for 28th. Placed fourth at the Moe O'Brien Memorial Invitational after a season-low 67 in the final round to finish at three-under 213 for the tourney (76-70-67). Played well at the LSU Spring Invitational with rounds of 74, 75 and 74 for a 54-hole total of seven-over 223. Named to the Tulane Scholar-Athlete List for both semester with a GPA above 3.0. Also named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.

2002-03: Tulane's top golfer in the last two tournaments of the year, including a tie for 13th at the C-USA Championships with rounds of 71, 76 and 72 to finish at six-over 219. Fired a season-low round of six-under par 66 at the ASU Indian Classic to tie for 13th at that event. Finished the year with a scoring average of 74.6 in 34 rounds. Tallied four Top 25 finishes on the year and was in the Top 40 in six of 12 events. His score counted toward the team total in 93 percent of the team's rounds, the second-best mark on the team. Shot par or better six times. Was Tulane's number one or two golfer in seven of 12 tournaments. Closed the fall strong at the USA Fall Beach Classic, shooting a one-under par 215 with rounds of 71, 71 and 73 to tie for 19th. Also second among Green Wave golfers at the Coca-Cola Tournament of Champions in his hometown with a final round 73. Tied for 18th at the Methodist Sportscare/Bob Brown Invitational with rounds of 75 and 74. Earned recognition on the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll with a cumulative 3.0 grade point average.

Summer 2002: Made it through local qualifying for the U.S. Open and played in the U.S. Open Sectional Qualifier in Tennessee. Finished third at the Birmingham Invitational.

2001-02: Compiled a stroke average of 76.0 while playing in all 31 rounds as a freshman. Recorded a pair of Top 25 finishes, including a tie for 15th at the ULM/Fred Marx Intercollegiate. Also finished in the Top 40 on two other occasions. Averaged 73.9 strokes per round in the fall. One of the Wave's top three in five events on the year. Fired seven rounds of par or better, including a one-under par 71 in the second round of the Conference USA Championships. Posted 15 rounds at 75 or below. Shot a second-round 69, his collegiate best, at the season-opening Raising Cane Classic on his way to a 221 and a tie for 26th (74-69-78). Carded a season-low 54-hole total of 218 at the Fall Beach Classic with rounds of 76, 70 and 72 to tie for 21st. Finished with a 72 and 71 at the Hillman Robbins Memorial Intercollegiate to tie for 27th with a 223. Earned a spot on the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll with a cumulative GPA above 3.0 for the year as well as recognition on the Tulane Scholar-Athlete list.

Prep: Two-time player of the year in Knoxville who helped the Webb School to the state tournament four times. Also a four-time Knoxville Interscholastic League choice who had a 35.8 nine-hole average his senior year. Won the 1999 William Bryan Memorial Tournament. Named High School Golfer of the Year in East Tennessee in 1999. Averaged 20 points per game for the Webb basketball team as a senior and ranked second in the city in scoring. His Spartan basketball team made four appearances in the Division II state championship.

Personal: Born May 4, 1983 in Durham, N.C. Son of Bill and Harley Roach; has one younger brother and one younger sister. Father, Bill Roach, Sr., was a collegiate golfer at North Carolina. Majoring in finance.
